The local buildings and surrounding countryside of the 75 villages in the rural area of Ndiaffate are very diverse. Visiting the local ethnic peulhs hamlets as well as the large villages of the ethnic sérères and passing through vaste stretches of acacia seyal, palmyra fan pines, eucaplyptus and cultivated fields, our guests will be able to admire the local fauna and flora and discover the diversity of our rural environment.



 


 Trekking on horse back and on foot

 

Both possibilities are practically zero in CO2 footprint.

 

Discovering the Ndiaffate area on foot or on horse back provides the opportunity for our guests to meet the local population and to appreciate the area’s variety.

Local fishing opportunities



Local fishing in the arm of the sea close to Ndiaffate, provides not only an opportunity for keen fishermen and women, to absorb the beauty of the area but also to experience the breathtaking sunsets.



Swimming

 

The water, the caress of the waves, the clean air not to mention the feeling of space make swimming in the arm of sea a unique and unforgettable experience which our guests will thoroughly enjoy.


Cultual evenings

 

The local culture is still very much alive in Ndiaffate with local music and dancing by the differerent ethnies. Our guests will thus have the possibility of immerging themselves in the cultual diversity which this area offers.


Traditional wrestling


Every year, from the end of December to April, these indigenous, corporal and vocal events are held to the background of Senegalese tam-tams and are an integral part

of village life  They are both a sport and a game and take place within a circle. Our guests will be able to watch, free of charge,these truly local cultural events in close contact with them
